Question for you, say I want to change some colors around maybe like when you hit X it goes to the main doors menu and it is high/light green do I look in the text.dat file or?

By default, xtrn_sec.js uses a dynamically generated selection list that uses the SelectItemFmt string from ctrl/text.dat.
This string (and others) can be overriden in the [xtrn_sec] section of your ctrl/modopts.ini file:
