If it's not badgerandblade.com, I'm sure if I logged in again after 1 years I'd find the same drama. I used to read there when I was gettin into wet shaving, then I bought an old Gillette safety razor at an antique store, a lifetime supply of blades on eBay, a mug and cheap brush, and haven't felt the need to talk about any of it since. :)

Yeah! The one I was thinking of wasn't B&B; it was
Straight Razor Place. It was occasionally useful for
getting some advice when I was getting into it, but
I didn't feel the need to post every single time I
shaved. And when I was in the Marines, that was daily
(facial irritation from daily shaving was _why_ I
started down the path of using a straight razor in the
    first place, btw).

I need to shave more often than I do, but since I can't stand for more than about a minute at a time, it's annoying as all get out. (I have a shower stool I can sit on, with the added side effect of pulling me further away from the sink and leaving me below the bottom of the mirror.) I usually just use an electric shaver to reduce the Pando growing on my chin and neck to stubble, because I can't work up the courage to Properly Shave with even a safety razor, out of fear I'll cut myself, lol.

I used to take an electric into the field with me, but
it was killing me. Finally I start bringing a camp stove
to heat up some water and just using a razor. Much better.
Every morning in Afghanistan, I shaved in a canteen cup
using a broken mirror from a HMMWV; it was ok. Until I
was pouring out the water into the head (read: port-a-potty)
and forgot that my safety razor was still in it.... Whoops.
"Sir, you could go in there and get it...." I ordered a
new one from the states and it came a week later.
